Notices don't span the full width of the editor when there are notes being rendered. #73917
When you have some notes in the editor, the new UI treatment is to show the notes at the right of the content regardless of whether the notes sidebar is open or not (why do we even have a sidebar in this case?)
This is nice but creates some small bugs, like the notices not spanning the whole width

The sidebar panel is the "archive" which shows more than just active/unresolved notes which the floating notes show.
the notices not spanning the whole width
Also related, the scrollbar appears in the middle of the page, which is a bit weird.
This happens because the active note is rendered using a "transparent" sidebar. It might be possible to display the note on the right side of the canvas without using the sidebar, but there would be some technical concerns.

#79864 should fix this, since the floating notes no longer live in a layout-occupying sidebar. Test steps below.
Claude drafted these, forwarding as is:
That one link is all that is needed - notes are in core as of 6.9, no experiment to turn on.
Posts -> Add New, type a paragraph.
Select the block, open the options menu (...), choose "Add note", and submit one.
With the note showing, get an editor notice on screen. The quickest way is the browser console: wp.data.dispatch( 'core/notices' ).createNotice( 'info', 'Test notice' );
The notice should span the full width of the editor, rather than stopping short at the edge of the old invisible sidebar. Compare against trunk with the same steps to see the before picture.
Another fix could be #83330. NOT strong opinion, it could even be a temporary fix, and I'll defer to @adamsilverstein on whether it's an ingredient in the fix, or not.

Punting to 7.2 when we plan to merge the canvas based notes which will also resolve this issue.
