**Fork safety (load-bearing):** when `origin` is a fork, `gh pr create` defaults the PR to the *upstream parent* repo, silently opening it on someone else's repository. Always pin the target to `origin` with `--repo` and `--head` so the PR lands on the fork. (A 4-digit PR number is a red flag it hit a busy upstream instead of your fork.)
