Industry: Agent payments / security.

Subcento gates a transaction BEFORE an AI agent signs it — one POST /check, x402-paid (0.002 USDC on Base), Ed25519-signed verdict back.

Against the inclusion checklist in the README:

  • Real Jev usage: subcento_engine.py::jev_semantic_check posts typed questions to the official TypeSafe API (api.typesafe.ai/v1/systemone, version pinned jev-1.14.0) in a single 3-in-1 fan-out — is_drainer_or_scam (noul), risk_level (choice), intent_match (choice) — and parses the answers into deterministic SAFE/CAUTION/BLOCK logic (mismatch alone ⇒ CAUTION, never BLOCK: anti false-positive).
  • Runnable check: test_jev_v2.py passes 6/6 (fan-out, CAUTION/BLOCK thresholds, fallback ladder, fail-closed guards, end-to-end); the service itself is live at https://subcento.alterfield.com with a public x402scan listing.
  • Mostly code: the repo is the engine itself (~520 LOC) + edge-paywall Caddyfile + OFAC updater, MIT.

Context: the pre-sign verification lane already lost two silent guards (dormant listings on x402scan); Subcento's difference is signed evidence + OFAC + official Jev semantics + fail-closed, sold machine-to-machine.
