Summary

Replicates playground CVE-only Dependabot auto-merge setup on yashjawale.github.io.

Changes

  • Remove .github/dependabot.yml version updates (CVE/security updates only, matching playground after e218c59). No grouped PRs, no cooldown needed (security updates bypass cooldown; if version updates are re-enabled later, add cooldown: default-days: 7).
  • Add .github/workflows/automerge.yml – pull_request_target with contents: write + pull-requests: write, if: github.actor == 'dependabot[bot]', steps gh pr review --approve → gh pr merge --auto --merge (copied from playground/.github/workflows/automerge.yml).
  • Verify .github/workflows/lint.yml already gates PRs on push/pull_request (main, develop), matrix 22.x/24.x, cache: npm, npm ci, format:check, lint, astro check, build (npm run build).

Manual steps required (file-only PR per instructions)

  1. Settings → General → Pull Requests → Allow auto-merge ✓
  2. Settings → Code security → Dependabot security updates → Enable (already enabled)
  3. Settings → Branches → Branch protection for main → Require status checks lint-and-format.

Verification

  • npm ci && npm run build passes locally.
  • Package manager: npm.

- Remove dependabot.yml version updates (CVE/security updates only, as in playground)
- Add .github/workflows/automerge.yml (approve + auto-merge for dependabot[bot] on pull_request_target)
- lint.yml already gates PRs on format, lint, astro check and build (npm ci / cache npm)
- Requires manual: Settings → General → Allow auto-merge, branch protection requiring lint-and-format, Code security → Dependabot security updates
