Description

Adds Requesty (an OpenAI-compatible LLM gateway) as a cloud provider, wired the same way as OpenRouter.

  • RequestyProvider.kt: sibling of OpenRouterProvider, posts to https://router.requesty.ai/v1/chat/completions with a Bearer key. No OpenRouter specific headers.
  • ProviderCatalog: new Requesty spec (seed model openai/gpt-4o-mini) and added to requiresApiKey.
  • LLMProviderFactory: injected and mapped by name.
  • ProviderErrorDetail.Provider.REQUESTY so HTTP failures go through the same redaction path.
  • ModelFetcher: lists Requesty managed policies from /v1/models/managed first (marked recommended, so the picker falls back to one) and merges the full /v1/models catalog, sent with the key when set. Either list alone is enough; the fetch only fails if both do. New ModelListParsers.requesty reads context_window and keeps only api == "chat" entries.
  • Settings provider dropdown, About and Help Center provider lists, README provider table, docs/trd.md discovery list, and the privacy page's third party list.

Requesty is not added to any automatic fallback. Fallbacks stay user configured.

Type of Change

  • Bug fix (non-breaking change which fixes an issue)
  • New feature (non-breaking change which adds functionality)
  • Breaking change (fix or feature that would cause existing functionality to not work as expected)
  • Documentation update

How Has This Been Tested?

  • Unit tests: two new ModelListParsersTest cases (managed first plus catalog merge with dedupe, catalog only when managed is unavailable), the unexpected shape case now covers requesty, and ProviderCatalogTest now expects 16 providers. ./gradlew testDebugUnitTest: 539 tests, all Requesty related tests pass. The 2 ModelStoragePathsTest failures happen on clean main as well. MediaActionsTest fails now and then in a full run with FileSystemAlreadyExistsException and passes when run by itself.
  • ./gradlew assembleDebug succeeds. :app:lintDebug reports 40 errors, none of them in files this PR touches (they are in the Social screens, StorageWorkspaceProvider and similar files that are already on main).
  • Live check (JVM, Robolectric, real network): ModelFetcher.fetchModels("Requesty") returned 920 models (159 managed policies), including openai/gpt-4o-mini. WrappedLLMProvider(RequestyProvider) with the key from the credential store completed openai/gpt-4o-mini in JSON mode ({"status":"REQUESTY_OK"}) and in text mode (REQUESTY_OK).
  • Manual verification steps: Settings, add a Requesty key (from https://app.requesty.ai/api-keys) in API keys, choose Requesty as the Active Brain Provider, refresh models, keep openai/gpt-4o-mini or pick a managed policy such as claude-haiku-4-5, then send a chat.

Checklist:

  • My code follows the style guidelines of this project
  • I have performed a self-review of my own code
  • I have commented my code, particularly in hard-to-understand areas
  • My changes generate no new build errors or warnings
  • I have updated the documentation in the docs/ folder (if applicable)

Disclosure: I work at Requesty. Happy to adjust anything to match project conventions.

Summary by CodeRabbit

  • New Features
    • Added Requesty as a supported AI provider, with access to chat models using an API key.
    • Added Requesty to provider selection and API key settings, with a default model available.
  • Bug Fixes
    • Requesty’s model list now excludes entries that aren’t identified as chat models.
  • Documentation
    • Updated the provider lists in the app’s About and Help screens, README, and privacy information to include Requesty.

Adds a RequestyProvider next to OpenRouter using the OpenAI-compatible
endpoint at https://router.requesty.ai/v1, and registers it in the
provider catalog, factory, error details, settings picker, and the
about/help provider lists.

Model discovery lists Requesty managed policies from /v1/models/managed
first (marked recommended) and merges the full /v1/models catalog so any
vendor/model id stays selectable.

📝 Walkthrough

Walkthrough

The change adds Requesty as an LLM provider. It registers chat completions, model discovery, API-key handling, and provider selection. It also updates supported-provider listings, documentation, privacy information, and tests.

Registers Requesty with the default model openai/gpt-4o-mini and an API-key requirement. Adds its completion implementation and factory mapping. Adds Requesty to settings, provider listings, and supported-provider documentation.
Model discovery and parsing
app/src/main/java/com/opendroid/ai/core/llm/ModelFetcher.kt, app/src/test/java/com/opendroid/ai/core/llm/ModelListParsersTest.kt, docs/trd.md
Requires Requesty catalog entries to have a string api value of chat. Tests cover managed-model ordering, catalog merging and fallback, and invalid entries. The integration specification describes combining the managed-model endpoint with /v1/models.

Merge Risk: ⚪ Minimal · up to 59616

Requesty is added as a provider, and the README's 13-provider count matches its table. No actionable merge-blocking risk remains based on the reviewed evidence.

Security Architecture Review

Security architecture risk: 🟡 Moderate · up to 59616

Requesty receives prompts only when selected or explicitly configured as a fallback, and requests require an API key. The remaining design question is whether models listed without that key should be recommended when an organization’s keyed catalog may allow a narrower set.

Retained concerns

  • Medium · security · inferred: Anonymous managed-model IDs take precedence over the keyed catalog and can become the persisted Requesty selection even when absent from that catalog. If the keyed catalog defines an organization’s permitted models, the client-side picker does not preserve that boundary; server-side enforcement is unverified.
Security review details

Security Blast Radius

  • inferred — Exposure is confined to installations that select Requesty or explicitly configure it as an eligible fallback. In those cases, prompts and the Requesty credential cross from the app to the gateway; model discovery alone does not authorize completion.

Security Findings and Attack Paths

  • inferred — A Requesty-controlled or compromised managed listing could influence the recommended model even if that ID is absent from the keyed catalog. The app would send a subsequent authenticated completion using that ID; whether the gateway would reject it or route prompts to an unintended upstream model is not established by repository evidence. No authentication bypass is verified.

Trust Boundaries and Controls

  • observed — Remote model metadata crosses into the local cache and selection, while the completion boundary separately checks for an API key. The fixed Requesty endpoint and Bearer check are counterevidence to an unauthenticated completion or arbitrary-URL path.

Resilience and Maintainability Implications

  • observed — Either successful discovery response can refresh the cache, whereas failure of both leaves the prior selection in place for retry. The existing provider-switch race can also persist a late model under a different active provider; its exposure is not shown to have been materially increased beyond adding Requesty as another selectable provider.

Hardening Proposals

  • proposed — Confirm whether Requesty managed IDs are authorized independently of the keyed catalog. If the catalog is the organization’s allowlist, distinguish or constrain anonymously discovered IDs before recommending and persisting them.
  • proposed — Guard refresh results and delayed model writes against the provider and refresh generation that initiated them, so a late response cannot change another provider’s selection.

…ests

Pull getScreenText, findAndClick, and the IME-submit fallback walk out of
OpenDroidAccessibilityService into a pure, injectable
AccessibilityNodeTraversal so tests can reach the logic with no bound
service. Promote the yashab-cyber#66 prototype's A11yProtoHarness and debug-source-set
probe activity into supported test fixtures
(AccessibilityServiceTestHarness, A11yProbeActivity) and land the first
real instrumentation tests: service readiness and known-screen scrape.

Add an emulator CI matrix (API 26 minSdk, API 36 target) running the whole
androidTest source set via connectedDebugAndroidTest, so new instrumented
tests are picked up automatically without hand-listing classes.

Gesture-dispatch coverage stays out of scope, tracked separately.
