I am a Sports Scientist and Sports Development Planner who believes that data and technology can build a healthier future. I combine a professional background in large-scale sports strategy with a passion for endurance sports and coding.
In my daily work as a Sports Development Planner, I design the future of sports infrastructure and analyze activity patterns to create a healthier life for the community.
Before focusing on urban infrastructure, I was one of the "fathers" of CHECK'D – the Düsseldorfer Modell for motor development and talent promotion. It is a pioneering project where sports science meets educational practice:
- Focus: Systematic motor diagnostics and individual support for thousands of children.
- Impact: Bridging the gap between scientific research and practical sports promotion in schools and clubs.
While I use data for sports by day, I use it for my home by night. I am a huge Home Assistant enthusiast, but I have a confession: I really don't like YAML.
To solve this, I’m currently developing:
JS Automations
A JavaScript engine for Home Assistant.
I built this because I wanted the full power of JavaScript for my logic. I tried Node-RED, but for complex automations, I always ended up with everything crammed into a single, messy Function Node anyway. So I decided to skip the detour and build a clean JS-native environment instead.
Status: The system is already running stably in my own home, and I am currently preparing the Pre-Release. I’m "polishing" the code and the installation process to make it easy for others to use. Stay tuned for the first public version!
I am a passionate endurance athlete. Whether it's a long run or a challenging ride, I love the grit it takes to go the distance.
