The latest release is v1.17.2. There is a commit from 2023 bumping the version to v1.18, but no tag or GitHub release was ever created. The most impactful change since then appears to be adopting clos-encounters, and I don't know enough about the ecosystem to know how important that is; but either way, it seems worth having a tag newer than v1.17.2.
(Note: this ticket is motivated by rigetti/libquil#58; as part of that work, I happened to notice that libquil currently pins a specific sha instead of v1.17.2. Pinning a release would be preferable.)
