This post compares Netlify alternatives for a full-stack TypeScript app with Postgres: Prisma Compute with Prisma Postgres, Railway, Render, Fly.io, and Vercel with a Marketplace database.

Changes

  • The first row of "Pick by app type" and the FAQ answer on Netlify alternatives now say Prisma Compute has been generally available since 2026-08-28. Until now the date appeared only in the Prisma profile, further down the page.
  • The Render comparison now gives the price of the smallest paid Render Postgres: $6 a month for 256 MB of RAM and 100 connections, plus storage at $0.30 per GB. The post gave Fly.io's entry price and Render's free terms, but no paid price for Render Postgres.
  • New FAQ entry, "Do I need Prisma ORM to use Prisma Compute?": no, Prisma ORM is optional and any Postgres client works. The page said this in passing, and the FAQ had no entry for the question.
  • The source lists under the first table and the comparison lines gain the changelog entry and Render's pricing pages, with check dates. updatedAt is 2026-11-03 and the update history has one new line.

Not edited: titles, meta description, excerpt, the opening paragraph and the disclosure line.

Sources checked 2026-11-02

Checks

  • Claims check: 4 matches on the diff and this body, all the Prisma Compute availability date sourced above (2 on the page, 2 in this body); none a do-not-claim item.
  • Public text lint on this body and the commit message: 0 hits.
  • All tables on the page keep their row and column counts. The frontmatter differs from main only in updatedAt, and the opening paragraph matches main byte for byte.

Summary by CodeRabbit

  • Documentation
    • Updated the Prisma vs. Netlify comparison with Prisma Compute’s general availability date and the entry-level paid Postgres plan’s pricing and specifications.

    • Added an updated content date and references for the new information.

…rice, Prisma ORM FAQ

The first row of "Pick by app type" and the FAQ answer on Netlify
alternatives now give the date Prisma Compute became generally available.

The Render comparison gives the price of the smallest paid Render Postgres,
with its storage charge. A new FAQ entry answers whether Prisma Compute
needs Prisma ORM.

Explanation

The title names three specific content changes that match the raw summary and objectives: the Prisma Compute general availability date, the Render smallest paid Postgres price, and a new Prisma ORM FAQ. All three appear in the diff, and the scope is limited to one blog post. The title is accurate and specific. It does not name the update-history line or the updatedAt bump, which is acceptable because those are minor supporting edits. At 89 characters it is slightly long but still readable.
