Oscar Gala Grano

Engineering leader and builder. I spend my days leading engineering teams and my evenings tinkering with self-hosted infrastructure, local AI, and civic tech.

I believe in privacy-first, local-first technology — owning your data, understanding your tools, and building things that matter.

What I'm building

  • Jarvis — A self-hosted AI assistant using Signal, Ollama, and Home Assistant. Hybrid local/cloud LLM routing, because not everything needs to leave your house.
  • NH Legislature Accessibility — A civic tech experiment to make NH legislative hearings more accessible. Abandoned when someone shipped a better solution.

What I care about

Open source. Democracy. Privacy. Building tools that give people more control over their lives, not less.
