Thanks for making NixOS configuration for Rust ESP32 development. I am trying to use this configuration for my own ESP32-S3 project, starting with running the esp-hal example with cargo xtask run-example esp-hal esp32s3 wifi_embassy_bench

What I did:

• Cloned this repo (b75043361b22dd6ad16a96ea32d3917354a42fb1)
• nix develop
• Ran cargo commands

But I get this error when something tries to use rustc:

rustc
rustc: error while loading shared libraries: libstdc++.so.6: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Thanks for reporting! I think the issue is because of this: https://github.com/openmoto-org/kontroller/blob/main/flake.nix#L40C42-L40C53

Can you try to change that with mkShell on your local repo and see if that solves it?

Even after changing mkShellNoCC to mkShell, I still get the same error.

I've pulled down a fresh copy of this repo and tried both mkShell and mkShellNoCC here. I get the same result:

➜ cargo build
error: process didn't exit successfully: `rustc -vV` (exit status: 127)
--- stderr
rustc: error while loading shared libraries: libstdc++.so.6: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

I think this is an issue with the approach. I've not been able to get a working esp toolchain using fenix.
