rich.text.Textobject merely to calculate the string length of its plain text attribute (len(rich_text.plain)) inside the TUI render loop causes unnecessary overhead and is a severe performance bottleneck.📊 Impact: Significantly reduces object creation overhead and memory allocations per table render, speeding up the TUI rendering process.
🔬 Measurement: Verify by running the application and observing smoother TUI interactions, especially when rendering lists with many songs. Or profile the application rendering loop.
