Skystream 🚀

Skystream is a simple utility to stream your desktop or a window over your local network. It's designed to be a lightweight bridge between your PC and other devices like TVs, tablets, or even just another computer.

📺 How to Watch

You have two easy ways to view your stream:

  • Built-in Web Player: Just open the Skystream URL in any modern web browser. It’s the easiest way to watch on a Smart TV or phone.
  • VLC Media Player: For a more robust experience, you can open the network stream directly in VLC. This is a great option for low-latency viewing on another PC.

🚀 Getting Started

  1. Launch: Run the Skystream executable on your PC.
  2. Connect your Source: Point your broadcasting software (like OBS) to Skystream.
  3. Watch: Open the provided link in your browser or VLC and enjoy.

🎥 Setting up OBS for Skystream

  1. Output Settings: In OBS, go to Settings > Output.
  2. Recording Tab: Set the Type to Custom Output (FFmpeg).
  3. Container Format: Set it to hls.
  4. Target Directory: Set the File Path to the folder Skystream is monitoring.
  5. Go Live: Click Start Recording in OBS.
