I'm always frustrated when it appears as though an event marker isn't working however its just because it doesn't have any commands assigned to it. I have spent a few hours debugging issues where this was the root cause, and I suspect other teams have too.
Pathplanner would highlight the event marker (both icon and list entry in the sidebar thingy) in question yellow and display a warning icon (⚠️) next to both.
