In Dbeaver, when selecting one or more results, you can press [Tab] to view these items in transposed view (as columns instead of row).

Use Case

We have a table with 200+ columns. Horizontally the column I need is difficult to find. But in vertical view, with the values visible, I can scroll fast to the correct field.

Since it is webbased, the tab might be difficult to catch. But as feature this one is blocking me from considering LibreDB Studio.

Thanks @mroeling. You installed it, hit a real wall and wrote it up, which is the most useful kind of report we get.

Part of what you want already exists. A vertical field-by-field view of a row is in the product, values beside field names, with copy and masking, but it is only reachable on small screens. The desktop grid never opens it, so on the machine where you would meet a 200 column table the feature is absent.
New PR will be opens it there, and the control stays visible at every window width, tablets included.

The full DBeaver behaviour, several rows transposed side by side as columns, is a larger change: the desktop grid has no row selection, and the row virtualiser would need rebuilding around the field axis. I am not promising that on a guess. It stays open and I will look again once this ships and you tell me how far it gets you.

I am not planning to bind Tab. On the web it is the focus key, and taking it over traps a keyboard user inside the grid. You suspected as much yourself.
