Folds what T3's preview tools did while Rubens verified PRD #16's screens on 2026-10-27 (T3 desktop 0.1.4-nightly.20261027.3783) into PREVIEW.md. The trial entry in t3-dependencies.md records the three new faults and adds clearing them to its "Would improve if".

What PREVIEW.md now tells an agent to do:

  • Target elements by snapshot refs or CSS selectors. Role locators were the clicks that timed out.
  • A click timeout on scrollIntoViewIfNeeded has two causes that look the same: the target isn't there under that name, or the tab draws no frames. The fix for the second is to take a snapshot, which paints one, and click again. open: true doesn't help.
  • Read the real innerWidth with preview_evaluate, because the preview_resize response can report a size the page didn't get.
  • If a capture blurs, retake both the before and the after with the fallback tool from the project's § Drive.
  • Read page state with preview_evaluate, which is far cheaper than a snapshot.

Projects: every project that verifies UI in a T3 thread (Rubens, en-escena) drives the preview this way. None has to add or rename anything. The contract already requires verification.md § Drive to name a fallback.

Review

Tier: readback, reviewed b4dc94c

  • readback (Luna): 2 surprises, both declined. The "click by ref" advice is still in the new timeout paragraph. "Rubens" names a project, the same way the entry names en-escena.

…faults

Rubens' PRD #16 verification on 2026-10-27 found clicks stalling in a tab
that draws no frames, preview_resize reporting a width the page did not
get, and blurred captures. PREVIEW.md now targets refs or CSS selectors,
tells the two click-timeout causes apart, checks innerWidth, falls back to
the browser CLI for blurred captures, and reads state with preview_evaluate.
The trial entry in t3-dependencies.md records the faults.
