Precise Decimal XP is a Minecraft Bedrock Edition resource pack that replaces the vanilla XP level display with a configurable decimal value.
Display your XP level with 0 to 6 decimal places while keeping the pack focused on the HUD. It does not add gameplay systems, scripts, or a behavior pack.
- 0β6 decimal places through seven built-in subpacks.
- Resource-pack only β no behavior pack or script is required.
- No experiments or cheats required for the pack itself.
- Useful when the vanilla rounded XP level does not provide enough precision.
- Designed for normal Bedrock resource-pack workflows.
Note: Precise Decimal XP changes the XP level shown in the HUD. It does not change how XP is earned, stored, or calculated by Minecraft.
| Subpack | Decimal places | Example |
|---|---|---|
p0 |
0 | 21 |
p1 |
1 | 21.1 |
p2 |
2 | 21.19 |
p3 |
3 | 21.199 |
p4 |
4 | 21.1992 |
p5 |
5 | 21.19928 |
p6 |
6 | 21.199288 |
The selected subpack controls how many fractional digits are displayed after the integer XP level.
- Download the desired
.mcpackrelease from GitHub Releases or the project's CurseForge page. - Open the
.mcpackfile to import it into Minecraft. - Open Settings β Global Resources.
- Activate Precise Decimal XP.
- Open the pack's subpack settings and choose the desired precision.
- Return to the game. Reload Minecraft when necessary.
- Import the
.mcpackfile. - Open the target world's settings.
- Open Resource Packs.
- Activate Precise Decimal XP.
- Select the desired precision subpack.
- Load the world.
For a Realm or Bedrock Dedicated Server, apply the pack to the world resource-pack configuration so the selected configuration can be distributed with the world.
Precise Decimal XP overrides parts of the Bedrock HUD. It can therefore conflict with another resource pack that also overrides the same HUD definitions or controls.
For a compatibility report, include:
- Minecraft version
- Platform
- Selected precision subpack
- Other active resource packs, especially HUD-related packs
See CONTRIBUTING.md for contribution and testing expectations and SECURITY.md for security-related reporting.
The pack source lives in src/. The build system creates a distributable .mcpack without modifying src/.
- A POSIX-compatible shell (the GitHub workflow uses Bash on Ubuntu).

The default build reads the newest release version and channel from CHANGELOG.md:
./scripts/build-mcpack.shYou can explicitly select the channel when it matches the newest changelog entry:
./scripts/build-mcpack.sh --release
./scripts/build-mcpack.sh --beta
./scripts/build-mcpack.sh --alphaThe output is written to dist/ using the same channel naming convention used for published CurseForge files:
precise-decimal-xp-bedrock-vX.Y.Z-release.mcpack
precise-decimal-xp-bedrock-vX.Y.Z-beta.mcpack
precise-decimal-xp-bedrock-vX.Y.Z-alpha.mcpack
See CONTRIBUTING.md for development and validation guidance.
Releases are driven by version tags that match the newest entry in CHANGELOG.md. GitHub Actions validates the tag, changelog, and manifest version, builds the .mcpack, and publishes the GitHub Release.
Release channels are:
- Release β stable release, tagged
vX.Y.Z. - Beta β pre-release, tagged
vX.Y.Z-beta. - Alpha β pre-release, tagged
vX.Y.Z-alpha.
The generated file uses the channel suffix as shown above.
Read the CHANGELOG.md before updating versions and review the release workflow when changing release automation.
