How to select different cleaning modes and add time

Hi, love the work you have done with the integration thanks.

I have the Evolux 6050 iq and it is recognized and works with the integration.

However it always runs the basic program (which is 117m) and regardless of whether i add 15m to the program or try to select a different fan speed it stick with the one single program.

Is this a known issue or is there something i should be doing differently ? Currently i have an automation that kicks this off at 11am each day and that is fine and reports back the running status etc.

I should add also that when using the app on my mobile i can set the various modes of cleaning and if i use a custom mode it shows as floor only in the integration (i assume therefore receiving an invalid input from the website query for custom modes) i can also use the +- 15 minutes keys on the app to add cleaning time - but these do not work in the integration.

Let me know if you want some logs or debugging info when making changes from the phone app etc

Just as a follow up to this - if i select a different program from within the Iaqualink app - the integration then treats this as the new default and runs with that from then on

Hi Craig,

for me this worked fine last year, I will try to find a testing window, if it still works on my end you might need to take a trace with MITM proxy to see what is going on.

In case this sounds like rocket science I might need your credentials in order to do it for you.

i should be able to bumble through with mitm traces if required - but equally happy to give you my credentials as long as you promise not to destroy my pool robot !!

if you can try it, saves me the time to take the traces. I would need you to setup the MITM and then take the traces for changing the mode and adding time for your robot. Normally this should be inside the websocket upgraded call.

Let me know if it fails.

And no worries I have already helped 10+ others that is why I also ask to reset the pw first, so that nobody shares a recurring or real password with me, and you better reset it afterwards too 👍 .

but since you have experience in taking traces lets do that first.

Hi @craigcurtin-dev — checking in, and I think I found it.

On the CycloNext family the integration was reading the cloud's cycle data but never the time-adjustment field, and it wasn't passing that data into the time calculation at all. So a +15 made in the app — or with the integration's own buttons — was genuinely never reflected in the remaining-time sensors, which is exactly what you reported. Separately, the cleaning mode was never read back from the cloud, which is very likely why a custom mode showed as "Floor only".

Both are fixed in 3.0.0-rc.3 (HACS → ⋮ → Redownload → enable "Show beta versions"). No need for the MITM traces we discussed — please don't spend time on those.

Two things to check when you install it:

1. What does your Evolux 6050 report as Device Type? It's one of the sensors. The fixes are in the cyclonext code path and I want to be sure your model actually uses it before claiming this is solved for you.
2. If it reports something other than vr or vortrax, note that the ±15-minute buttons are only created for those two families — the cloud exposes no equivalent command for the others. In that case the remaining-time sensors will now correctly follow adjustments you make in the app, but you won't have buttons in HA to make them. Worth knowing before you go looking for them.

If you can attach Download diagnostics from the device page, that tells me everything I need in one go — it now includes the raw values the cloud sends for your robot.
