Hi, I'm Francisco 👋

Senior systems administrator with 14+ years in IT infrastructure: the last 11 running infrastructure and operations end to end for a company in Brazil, before that corporate support and server roles in Lisbon and Rio de Janeiro.

I keep servers secure, monitored and backed up, and I like turning that work into small, well-tested tools.

What I work with

  • Servers: Linux (Debian, Ubuntu), Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365
  • Virtualization: Proxmox VE, VMware ESXi, Hyper-V
  • Networking & security: firewalls (Sophos), VPN, VLANs, UniFi, Cisco, Cloudflare, DNS, email authentication (SPF / DKIM / DMARC)
  • Monitoring: Zabbix, Grafana, Wazuh
  • Automation: Bash, PowerShell, Python

Open-source tools

Project What it does

linux-hardening-kit Audits and hardens Debian/Ubuntu servers, with dry-run mode and SSH lockout protection
restic-backup-kit Automated restic backups plus weekly restore tests that verify checksums
Bit Happens Free web toolkit for diagnosing DNS, email, TLS and network issues
