Functions

Nanocar builder should offer several functions that make it easier to perform more complicated tasks. Currently these can mimic the functions in the Avogadro nanocar builder:

• Add chassis (or any molecule)
• Connect molecule
• Add surface

Add molecule file

• Read molecule file
  • User provided (xyz)
  • Built-in database
• Pop-up window to ask position

Connect molecule file

• An atom must be selected
• Connects molecule with predefined connection sites

Add metal surface

• Inputs
  • Metal atom
  • Lattice constant
  • Surface size
  • Surface type (110, ...)
  • Position
• Places metal surface
