The registry already lists it as "Code Context Search (Deprecated)" with "Use web_search_exa instead", and every other deprecated tool says so in the description clients see. This one didn't, so agents that enable it had no signal to prefer web_search_exa. Refs exa-labs#443 Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

Hi, one more check-in on this. It still merges cleanly on main: a one-line description prefix so |

Refs #443.
A correction to my own issue first: #443 suggested adding
get_code_context_exato the README. On a closer look, it's intentionally deprecated.toolRegistry.tslists it as "Code Context Search (Deprecated)" with "Use web_search_exa instead", and #384 removed deprecated tools from the README on purpose. So the README is right. The actual gap is smaller. Every other deprecated tool says so in the description clients receive (
[Deprecated: Use web_search_advanced_exa instead] ...), but this one doesn't. An agent that has it enabled gets no signal to preferweb_search_exa.This PR adds the same prefix, using the replacement named in the registry:
It's a description-only change with no behavior change. Happy to close #443 once this lands, or adjust the wording if you'd rather point somewhere else.
