CodeRabbit puts some of its comments in the body of a review rather than in a thread: those on lines outside the PR's diff ("⚠️ Outside diff range comments"), and nitpicks ("🧹 Nitpick comments"). evaluate-pr-comments only fetched review threads, and told the agent to strip every <details> block, which is where these comments are. On #3802 it missed a comment on lines outside the diff, a real bug, until it was pointed out.

Changes to .claude/skills/evaluate-pr-comments/SKILL.md

  • Step 1 fetches CodeRabbit's reviews' bodies as well as the threads. It strips only the <details> blocks that aren't comments (the prompts, the analysis chain and the review info) and keeps those under the comment headings. These comments are numbered with the threads, by the review's URL and the comment's title.
  • Step 4 answers a comment in a review's body in one PR comment that links to the review, as it has no thread to reply to or resolve. Once CodeRabbit has reviewed the fixes pushed, it fetches the threads and the reviews' bodies again, as CodeRabbit may comment on those commits too. That review is where the missed comment was.
  • Step 3's PR description links a fix to the review when the comment is in one.

Checked

The new gh api …/reviews command, run on #3802, finds the review with the comment that was missed.

Summary by CodeRabbit

  • New Features

    • Code review feedback now includes comments from review summaries across all commits.
    • Review comments retain links and metadata needed for follow-up responses.
    • Review-summary comments can be answered directly through pull request comments.
  • Improvements

    • Filtering more accurately separates actionable comments from non-comment review content.
    • Review feedback is rechecked after new commits are submitted.

…s' bodies

CodeRabbit puts some comments in the body of a review rather than in a
thread, such as those on lines outside the PR's diff, and nitpicks. The
skill only fetched review threads, and stripped every <details> block,
which is where these comments are, so on #3802 it missed a comment on
lines outside the diff until the user pointed it out.

It now fetches CodeRabbit's reviews' bodies too, keeps their comments
when stripping the rest, answers them in a PR comment that links to the
review, as they have no thread to reply to, and checks again for new
comments once CodeRabbit has reviewed the fixes pushed.

🗄️ Data Integrity & Integration | 🟡 Minor | ⚡ Quick win

Paginate the review list before processing review bodies.

This command reads only the default first page. GitHub returns 30 reviews by default, and gh api requires --paginate to fetch later pages. A PR with more than 30 reviews can therefore have CodeRabbit body comments that this skill never evaluates. (cli.github.com)
