Summary

Corrects stale Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Generative AI information in the model tables and on the OCI deployment pages. Every OCI model ID written here is taken verbatim from the linked Oracle documentation page (checked 2026-11-05). No code or SDK behaviour changes.

Overview pages

  • deployment-options/deployment-options.mdx and v2/deployment-options/deployment-options-overview.mdx: the OCI paragraph linked generate-models.htm and embed-models.htm, which now redirect to the pretrained models page; replaced with that page and "chat, embedding, and rerank models".

Left unchanged

  • rerank = "Dedicated endpoints only" in the SDK feature table of the OCI page, and the OCI rerank cell in cohere-works-everywhere: these describe Python SDK behaviour, which this PR does not test.
  • Bedrock "(Coming Soon)" cells: not OCI.

Disclosure: I work on OCI at Oracle. Everything above is backed by the public Oracle documentation pages linked; no internal information was used.

Note

Low Risk
Documentation-only updates to MDX; no runtime, auth, or API behavior changes.

Overview
Updates Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Generative AI documentation so model IDs, availability, and retirement status match Oracle’s current pretrained-models and deprecation pages. No SDK or product code changes.

On models.mdx, the platform tables now list Command A Reasoning/Vision OCI IDs, set embed-v4.0 and Rerank 4 OCI model names (replacing “Coming Soon” / N/A), mark Embed v3 and rerank-v3.5 as deprecated with retirement dates, and show Command R / Command / Command light on OCI as N/A (retired).

The OCI deployment pages fix the “AWS cloud” typo, refresh the supported-model list with OCI IDs and links, document Embed/Rerank 4 and Command A as current, note Command R retirement (July 30, 2026), and state that fine-tuning is not available for current Cohere models on OCI. The Python SDK OCI guide aligns Available Models and the V1 vs V2 table with that reality (Command A via OciClientV2, Command R via V1 retired).

Deployment overview copy now describes OCI as supporting chat, embedding, and rerank models and links to Oracle’s unified pretrained-models page instead of separate generate/embed doc URLs.

- models.mdx: Embed 4 (cohere.embed-v4.0), Rerank 4 Pro/Fast
  (cohere.rerank-v4.0-pro, cohere.rerank-v4.0-fast), Command A Reasoning
  (cohere.command-a-reasoning) and Command A Vision
(cohere.command-a-vision) are available on OCI; Embed v3 and Rerank 3.5
marked deprecated; OCI cells for the retired Command R, Command R+,
Command and Command light models set to N/A
- deployment-options/oracle-cloud-infrastructure-oci.mdx (hidden page):
fix "AWS cloud computing platform" copy-paste error, refresh the model
list with OCI IDs and links, replace the stale fine-tuning claim
- oracle-cloud-infrastructure-oci.mdx: note that the Command R family was
  retired from OCI on 2026-07-30
- deployment-options overview pages: point the OCI paragraph at Oracle's
  pretrained models page
