[shared-ci] End-to-end coverage failing across cncf/endusers #1809

CI Issue

The End-to-end coverage / Render e2e coverage report job (Validate repository workflow) fails on the merge queue with:

The merged #1807 added Stryker directive comments and hoisted landscape?.sourceUrl in DirectoryFreshness, shifting the reported spans, but the accepted-regions fixture was not re-based. The failure is now baked into main: the fixture on main still cites the old spans (verified via the contents API — e.g. the return null guard moved from line 18 to line 20, and the url ? url.href : null ternary from line 68 to line 69), so every subsequent PR or merge-group run of the e2e coverage gate will fail until the fixture is cleaned.

• Both PRs' own branch checks were green; the failure only appears once the shifted source on main meets the stale fixture.

Recommendation

Remove the 6 stale entries from tests/e2e/fixtures/accepted-regions.json. The failing run's own report shows the coverage gates (--check-source 100, --check-source-regions 96, --require-source-files) otherwise pass — the only error is staleness — so removal is sufficient and no re-acceptance at new spans is needed. A hold-gated PR with exactly that change accompanies this issue.

Decision taken by hive: remove (not re-base) the entries, per the coverage tool's own diagnostic and the green gates in the failing run.
