Review comments at @scripts/herdr-cco-resume:
- Around line 67-69: Update the sequence generation near EPOCHREALTIME so Bash
3.2 produces a distinct, increasing --seq across retries and hook invocations
when EPOCHREALTIME is unavailable; do not fall back to second-resolution date
+%s values.
- Around line 94-95: Make the latest-session check and report in the retry flow
atomic with SessionStart marker updates: serialize those operations across hook
processes, or validate a generation immediately before applying the report so a
stale retry cannot replace a newer command. Use the existing latest marker and
report flow as the change point.
- Around line 70-71: Update the resume flow in scripts/herdr-cco-resume to
establish pane ownership for the cco source before reporting the session, using
the installed Herdr contract. Preserve the intended agent state and avoid
overwriting a newer pane owner when reporting the resume command.

When herdr restores a pane it relaunches Claude or Codex with its built-in plan, a bare `claude --resume <id>` or `codex resume <id>`. For agents started through cco-claude, cco-claude-safe or cco-codex, that brings the agent back outside the sandbox and without any --add-dir paths it was given. Herdr prefers a resume command reported by the pane over its built-in one, so the wrappers now export which wrapper launched the agent, the user's --add-dir arguments and a token for the launch. A new SessionStart hook, herdr-cco-resume, turns those into a wrapper command for the current session and reports it with `herdr pane report-agent-session`. It runs again on resume, /clear and compaction, so the saved command follows the session the pane is actually in. Agents started from inside the pane, such as a nested `claude -p`, inherit the same environment and would otherwise replace the pane's command with their own throwaway session. Like herdr's own Claude integration, the hook lets only a launch's first session come from a fresh startup; later ones must be a clear, resume or compact. Sessions without a transcript are skipped, since they cannot be resumed, which also covers Codex's internal memory-consolidation worker. The hook reports in the background, so a slow or unresponsive herdr cannot delay the agent's startup. Herdr only accepts the report once it has detected the agent in the pane, which can lag SessionStart after a restore, so the hook retries until then and stops once a newer session in the same pane has taken over. A per-pane lock, keyed on the herdr session's socket since pane IDs repeat across named sessions, covers the check and the report together, and each herdr call is bounded by a timeout, so an older session's report cannot land after a newer one. Each report needs a sequence number newer than the last accepted one, or herdr drops the command while still reporting success, so the hook uses bash 5's EPOCHREALTIME and declines to run without it. Failures go to ~/Library/Logs/herdr-cco-resume.log. The hook has to be registered by hand in ~/.claude/settings.json and ~/.codex/hooks.json, alongside herdr's own hooks, and Codex has to trust it before it runs.
