<issue_title>Bright splash screen in dark environment.</issue_title>
<issue_description>The splash screen appearing on cold launch of the app does not honour app-wide dark theme, resulting in instant brightness peak on dark-themed device when used in dark environment. It's uncomfortable and irritating to the eye, as one can imagine.

Hope that can be fixed for more complete dark theme experience.</issue_description>
