Crash when attempting to start video after accepting permissions

Describe the bug
When attempting to start video, the user accepts permissions for "Record video", and Audio, the Chime SDK throws a crash right after. The crash seems to be intermittent

The stack points at DefaultCameraCaptureSource.onOpened creating the capture session with a null Surface, so the missing detail is whether preview/video render target setup completed before camera open. It would help to include the SDK version, Android API level, and whether this happens when permissions are granted for the first time versus already granted. A defensive fix should probably treat a null surface as a camera-start failure and retry after the sink is attached, instead of letting the camera thread crash.

I can confirm that this has happened on

• Devices: Pixel 9 Pro XL, Samsung S21
• OS: Android 16, and Android 17
• Version: amazon-chime-sdk: 0.25.2, amazon_chime_media = 0.25.2

I've seen the issue happen even after I've accepted the permissions the first time around.

Have you guys looked into fixing this at all? @hiSandog @hensmi-amazon

Bug: Intermittent Camera Crash on Android 16

We are facing an intermittent crash when starting a video call on Android 16. After granting Camera and Microphone permissions, the Amazon Chime SDK sometimes crashes while initializing the camera.
