AS Music Theory (https://www.asmusictheory.com) is a free, interactive website for learning music theory. It combines clear, structured lessons with interactive examples and playable instruments, so you can see, hear, and play every concept - from the fundamentals of notes, intervals, scales and chords through to more advanced ideas.
You can play along using your computer keyboard or a MIDI controller, and everything runs right in your browser (Chrome, Edge, Safari, or Firefox recommended).
This is the public home for AS Music Theory resources and feedback. There's no source code here - instead, you'll find:
- Issue tracking — found a bug, spotted a mistake in a lesson, or have an idea for a new feature? Open an issue and let us know. We genuinely appreciate every report.
- Resources — downloadable materials and other goodies related to the site, as they become available.
The easiest way to reach us is by opening an issue. Whether it's a typo, a browser quirk, or a suggestion for a topic you'd love to see covered, we'd love to hear from you.
Alternatively you can use our contact page or email mail@asmusictheory.com
Happy learning, and enjoy the music! 🎹
