Summary

Fern's rust generator hardcodes Cargo.toml's [package] name to the underscored form (anduril_lattice_sdk), regardless of the hyphenated crateName/package-name configured in generators.yml. crates.io's canonical name for this crate is the hyphenated anduril-lattice-sdk. It rejects publishing under the underscored spelling .

We don't want to rename the crate on crates.io, so this patches the checked-out Cargo.toml back to the hyphenated name right before cargo publish runs in CI. The committed Cargo.toml is untouched, so this survives every future Fern regeneration without needing to be reapplied.

Test plan

  • Confirm the next tagged release's publish job succeeds against crates.io

Fern's rust generator hardcodes Cargo.toml's [package] name to the
underscored form, but crates.io locked our canonical name to the
hyphenated anduril-lattice-sdk before Fern took over generation.
Publishing the underscored name fails with "crate was previously
named `anduril-lattice-sdk`". Patch it back just before publish so
CI keeps working without renaming the crate on crates.io.
