Breaking change

The binary wire format changes for some messages. Field names are unchanged, so protojson and kubectl ate output in JSON or YAML look the same.

• Stored data: the ateapi store keeps Actors, ActorTemplates, Workers, ActorAssignments, Tags, Atespaces and EgressPolicies as binary protos. Rows written before this change decode with fields in the wrong places, and CRASHED, DELETING and REVERTING Actors read back with the wrong state. Existing installs need a fresh database. There is no migration.
• Control API clients: kubectl ate, and anything else built against the old ateapipb, must be rebuilt. An old client talking to a new server misreads fields without any error.
