(Imported the video and got rid of unnecessary components of the readme while providing some summarising points in regards to how it works, Installation points are kept the same because no need to change, would be the same process regardless)
Duckonomics is my silly idea of a society of well-civilised ducks, working to provide bread to themselves and raised families. The silly idea spirralled into a full pygame simulation with my discovering of a new hackclub campaign, Stardance!!! The idea matches some of my previous projects, not yet finished, eg. QuackyGrammer, DuckyPaste, DuckMail etc.
Every duck in the simulation has it's own class, with it's own individual unique name, age, amount of money, hunger, happiness. Based off these stats, they raise children, work, pay taxes, buy food, grow old and eventually die 😢
Here is some summarised dot points regarding the game!
Features:
🦆 Duck citizens
🍞 Machine Learning powered bakeries that predict demand
💰 Jobs and wages
🏛️ Government taxing
👶 Population growth and aging
☠️ Starvation and natural death
🎩 Cosmetic accessories based on wealth
🧠 Machine learning using Scikit-Learn
Supported Platforms:
Duckonomics has been tested on:
✅ Windows 10/11
✅ Linux
⚠️ macOS (should work but not extensively tested)
Installation
