What kind of problem
Something else
What is wrong
The record contains the published snow-albedo bounds 0.18–0.85 but does not record how they were obtained or the spatial unit they describe.
Järvi et al. (2014) Section 3.1.1 explicitly says that the minimum and maximum snow albedos were determined by optimisation using observations at the suburban Montreal site. It also states that observations across measured surface types were averaged to match the scale of the simulations, and Table 4(b) lists the pair as overall-area parameters. The record should therefore add method: fitted and applicable_scale: neighborhood.
The values, source, place, site representativeness, stable path, origin and legacy ID should remain unchanged.
Evidence
Järvi et al. (2014), Section 3.1.1 and Figure 4, pp. 1698–1699, states that the snow-albedo bounds were determined by optimisation using observations at the suburban Montreal site, reports 0.18 and 0.85, and explains that observations across surface types were averaged to match simulation scale: https://doi.org/10.5194/gmd-7-1691-2014
Table 4(b), p. 1701, publishes the same final values.
