⚠️ Bug: ncc dist bundles not rebuilt, so the fix never ships to runtime
GitHub Actions runs the committed ncc bundles, not src/: credential-guard/action.yml points to dist/post/index.js and credential-setup/action.yml points to dist/index.js. Both bundles still contain the old bare run(); (credential-guard/dist/post/index.js:31135, credential-setup/dist/index.js:49795). CLAUDE.md:31-34 says these bundles "MUST be rebuilt and committed whenever anything under src/ changes" and that skipping the rebuild ships stale code. So the .catch handler and void run() added here have no effect at runtime, and the next unrelated rebuild will pull them in without anyone reviewing them. Fix: run npm run build:setup && npm run build:guard-post and commit the updated dist files.
Rebuild and commit the affected ncc bundles:
npm run build:setup && npm run build:guard-post
git add credential-setup/dist credential-guard/dist/post

Fixed two unhandled Promise warnings by adding explicit error handling to the top-level
run()calls in the credential setup and guard post-action scripts. These changes ensure that credential operation failures are properly logged and don't result in unhandled rejections that could crash the Node process.View Project in SonarCloud
Fixed Issues
typescript:S9383 - Promises must be awaited, end with a call to .catch, end with a call to .then with a rejection handler or be explicitly marked as ignored with the `void` operator. • MAJOR • View issue
Location:
src/credential-guard-post.ts:83Why is this an issue?
A Promise represents the eventual result of an asynchronous operation. When a Promise is created but neither awaited, returned, nor given a rejection handler, it is said to be "floating": nothing in the code observes whether it eventually resolves or rejects.
What changed
The top-level
run()call returned a Promise that was never awaited or given a rejection handler. Any failure would become an unhandled rejection, which can crash the Node process. The hunk chains.catch(...)ontorun(). The catch logs the failure throughcore.warning, using the error message when the value is anErrorand the raw value otherwise. The Promise is now explicitly observed, which removes the floating-Promise warning, and credential-restore failures are reported instead of escaping to the global handler.typescript:S9383 - Promises must be awaited, end with a call to .catch, end with a call to .then with a rejection handler or be explicitly marked as ignored with the `void` operator. • MAJOR • View issue

What changed
The top-level call
run()returned a Promise that was never awaited, returned, or given a rejection handler, so the scanner flagged it as a floating Promise. Prefixing it with thevoidoperator (void run();) marks the Promise as intentionally unobserved. This is a reasonable choice for a script's top-level entry point, where there is no caller to propagate to. This satisfies the rule. Be aware thatvoidonly silences the warning: ifrun()can reject, the rejection still goes to Node's global handler unlessrunhandles its own errors internally.SonarQube Remediation Agent uses AI.
