This will require bumping the version of color-string in package.json once your changes get released in that library. I'd suggest putting this in draft status for now until that's available with a TODO item in the OP.

I have implemented the changes for issue #257. However, the main changes were made in another repository: https://github.com/Qix-/color-string/pull/74.
