Prerequisites

Before running the project, install:

• Node.js (v18 or newer recommended)
• npm (included with Node.js)

Verify the installation:

node -v
npm -v

Clone the repository

git clone <repository-url>
cd my-play-app

---

Install dependencies

Client

cd client
npm install

Server

Open a new terminal:

cd server
npm install

---

Run the application

1. Start the backend

From the server directory:

npm run dev

The backend will start on:

http://localhost:5001

2. Start the frontend

From the client directory:

npm start

The React application will open at:

http://localhost:3000
