Component Items With Links

Hi I installed jfoobar in my joomla site.
and i created a custom componet using that.
I assigned that component list to a menu.
But its showing all items without link.

I dont know how to create a link for items.

I can assign each item to a menu.
but i need a url to each item to access each item while assigning component "list" menu item to a menu

JFoobar is a scaffolding tool in the frontend. Since there is no way of knowing how folks might want to implement the frontend layouts, it provides the framework that implements the mechanics of a frontend component -- leaving you places to work.

• You might need to add criteria to your view, for example, to select the right rows. That is done by modifying the View xml.
• You might have to add logic to handle paging -- studying how com_content or com_weblinks does that can get you started.
• You might need to change the actual layout, which is what I think you are saying. In that case, you can find the layouts in the View tmpl folder. If you want an item to have a link -- you can modify the layout for that purpose.

This is a frontend developer tool that automates repetitive work but still requires some coding skill to use. I like it because it gets 99% of the heavy lifting out of the way -- but I still have to do some coding, depending on my customer needs.

I hope that helps some with your question. It's possible a solution like K2 or something without programming, might be more appropriate, depending on your skill level.

hopefully this helps - I'm not a developer by any stretch of the imagination, so I'm sure someone can improve on this since it's not pretty, I know that.

But, in working with this, I found the following solution to at least accomplish the goal here:

edit: had to move the example over to a Gist (https://gist.github.com/3025457) since it doesn't seem to like it here in comments

all that does is add a link to that item id to the title. maybe Amy or someone else can improve on that - the url structure looks weird, which I'm sure is because there's a better way to do it, but it's a start :)
