Renovate already bumped requirements-lint.yml and testing/requirements.yml to v1.23.0. This commit completes the upgrade and prunes Debian 12 from the supported list. - Pin install-docker-rootless.yml to the v1.23.0 commit SHA (82eceb74b8c62a082f7107c0460df3fee32768bf). - Drop Debian 12 (bookworm) from supported platforms. Rootless Docker fails on Debian 12 because the role's rootlesskit AppArmor profile is gated on AppArmor ABI 4.0 (only available on Debian 13+). v1.23.0 doesn't change this gating, but rather than carry a workaround for an OS we no longer need to support, drop it. - Remove bookworm and bookworm_vlan VMs from the Vagrantfile and from the deps-new-version-test workflow's vagrant up list. - Refresh stale "Debian 10+" / "Ubuntu 20.04+" docstrings in setup-playbook.yml, install-docker-rootless.yml, and roles/users_add/README.md to match the README's actual support policy. - Ignore the local ./tmp/ scratch directory. Tested end-to-end on Debian 13 (trixie) arm64 via lima: 47 ok, 0 failed, docker run hello-world succeeds under the dockeruser.
Now that Debian 12 (bookworm) is dropped from supported platforms, the docker-rootless integration tests should still cover the remaining Debian target. Add a strategy matrix over box=[noble, debian13] so both Ubuntu Noble and Debian Trixie run the full hardened-then-docker-rootless e2e playbook on every PR that touches install-docker-rootless.yml. Applies to both the x86_64 (GitHub-hosted) and arm64 (self-hosted) workflows.

Modern VirtualBox on ubuntu-24.04 runners holds the kvm module via vboxdrv, so the previous unload-or-die check killed the job before vagrant even ran. Mirror the relaxed behaviour from deps-new-version-test.yml: try to unload, warn if it stays loaded, and let vagrant up be the final authority.
The bento/ubuntu-24.04 box hangs at 'Booting VM...' on the ubuntu-24.04 GitHub runner (debian13 from the same bento set boots fine, so this is ubuntu-24.04-specific). cloud-image/ubuntu-24.04 is the official Canonical cloud image (refreshed monthly, supports amd64 and arm64 via virtualbox) and should behave more like the lima-based image we tested against locally.
noble was the only VM in the matrix without the vbguest.auto_update = false guard that bookworm/debian13 had. As a result vagrant-vbguest tried to rebuild VirtualBox Guest Additions inside the freshly-booted VM, installing gcc, make, dkms and ~48 build-essential packages, then DKMS-compiling modules. That ate the full 60-minute job timeout before the Ansible provisioner could even start. Match the pattern used for debian13: skip auto-update when the plugin is present.
