An attack is performed by a unit against an enemy unit (or an hexagon) called target.
After the attack, the STAT of the target will be set to UNDER FIRE, independently of the success of the attack.
Depending on the properties of the weapon used, the unit need a valid LOF or a LOS on the target (see Line of Fire (LOF) and Line of Sight (LOS) for details).
A successful attack remove the DMG of the weapon from the target HP:
- If the target HP reach zero, the target is killed and removed from the board
- If the target is an infantry, for each damage remove one “soldier” and choose which special weapon will be lost
- If the target is a vehicle, all transported troops are killed if the vehicle is destroyed
The success is determined by throwing a 20-faces dice and obtaining a value less than the hit score. For the assault rifle: repeat the attack for each of the HP of the unit, each successful attack does 1DMG.
The formula for the hit score is:
Hit Score = ATK - TER - DEF + STAT + END + INT (+ BONUS)
- ATK: depends on the used weapon;
- TER: the terrain of the target;
- DEF: the defence of the target (0 if the weapons ignore armor);
- STAT: the current STAT of the target;
-
INT: the
ATK INTvalue if the attacker isred,DEF INTif it isblue.
