Hi, I'm Atharva Hatolkar 👋

Data Scientist · AI/ML · Data Analytics

I turn messy, large-scale data into validated models and clear, decision-ready insight — and I care as much about whether the results hold up as about building them.

Currently completing an MSc in Data Analytics at the University of Galway, where my research benchmarks and evaluates transformer and large pretrained (foundation) models on real-world time-series. Before that, 2.5 years building SQL data pipelines, reporting, and data-quality routines for global enterprise clients.

My slightly unusual edge: an Electronics & Telecommunications engineering background, so I'm equally at home with sensor/signal and network data as I am with ML models.

🔭 What I focus on

  • Model evaluation & benchmarking — judging whether AI/ML outputs are technically accurate and valid in practice
  • Predictive modelling & time-series forecasting — classical ML through to transformers and foundation models
  • Data analytics & BI — SQL/PL-SQL, dashboards, and turning numbers into stories stakeholders act on
  • Reproducible, well-documented pipelines — from raw data to result
