We use 4 and 6 AWG
2 AWG is common as well.
You will usually pair up 6 AWG with SB50s and 4 AWG with SB120s, but people have gotten away with fitting 4 AWG wires into SB50s. This is not recommended, because that is not what the SB50 is rated for and makes things needlessly difficult.
Only say what is recommended. This site should be a source of truth that teams can use to easily find the correct way of wiring robots. Info like this muddies the water between what is and isn't ok.
The two ways
There are more than 2 ways to assemble the batteries. As long as there's a nut and a bolt, that will allow for a usable battery.
