Why

The binary carries install.conf.example and the pinned tar1090 installer since #6, so the download-and-run flow works with the .bin alone. The README still sent people to the archive and pointed at v0.2.0-rust.2-rc, whose binary predates that change.

What changes

  • The install example downloads the .bin, makes it executable and runs ./easy1090 install.
  • The paragraph about running from the extracted directory now says to run it from the directory that should hold install.conf, and that the .bin needs nothing else.
  • The .tar.gz is described as the complement: README, license and a vendor/ directory with the tar1090 license text. Files next to the binary still win over the compiled-in copies.
  • Both release links move to v0.2.0-rust.3-rc, the first candidate built with feat(rust): make the release binary self-contained #6.

Verification

The v0.2.0-rust.3-rc tag and pre-release exist, and both links in the README resolve. In a clean Arch container, following the new README flow:

  • The downloaded .bin has the sha256 listed in SHA256SUMS, and --version prints easy1090 0.2.0.
  • install, uninstall, update, feed and start in --dry-run, in en and pt, match the shell version on stdout, stderr and exit code (30 of 30 comparisons) once the tar1090 installer path is normalized.
  • A real first run of the .bin alone (feed --status) created install.conf and exited 0.

Not run: a full install with real pacman.

The binary carries install.conf.example and the pinned tar1090
installer since the self-contained change, so download-and-run works
with the .bin alone and the README no longer has to send people to the
archive.

The archive stays published for its vendor/ directory, which holds the
tar1090 license text. The release link moves to the next candidate,
the first one built with that change.
