Blog: AI Neuroticism and the Tidal Forces of the Singularity - #304

Conversation
New essay coining "AI neuroticism" — chronic low-grade anxiety produced by living inside the tidal forces of the AI moment, distinguished from the true-believer "AI psychosis" framing. Argues that the visible damage of the hype cycle is the engineer-vs-founder feedback loop produced by hype men on one end and cynical gatekeeper engineers on the other, both stress responses to the same differential rate of change. Lands on a middle-ground "anchor yourself to the work" call to action. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.7 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>

Original phrasing implied "the people who matter aren't on Twitter," which both singled out one platform unfairly and was empirically wrong. The people who matter are on every platform — they're just posting the work, not the drama. Reword to lead with what they're doing (shipping, sharing, learning) rather than where they're not.
