A local, read-only C# terminal app for viewing current and deleted Microsoft Teams drafts stored in Chromium LevelDB files.
- Detects and merges every
Teams-Recovery-*snapshot on the Desktop with the live new Teams cache. - Reads LevelDB SSTables and write-ahead logs without modifying them.
- Shows recovered drafts in a split terminal list and plain-text preview.
- Resolves cached chat names and channel topics for the draft header.
- Includes private chats, channel posts, and replies by default.
- Supports draft selection, preview scrolling, and one-key rescanning.
- Opens no network port and does not upload or copy draft data.
cd A:\TeamsDraftViewer
dotnet runAll detected recovery snapshots and the live cache are scanned together by default. To choose only one copied profile:
dotnet run -- --path "C:\path\to\Teams-Recovery-snapshot"Keyboard controls are shown at the bottom of the screen. The main controls are:
Up/DownorJ/K: select a draftPage Up/Page Down: scroll its contentsR: rescan;QorEsc: quit
For a non-interactive summary, use:
dotnet run -- --path "C:\path\to\snapshot" --listThe most useful folder to preserve after losing a draft is:
%LocalAppData%\Packages\MSTeams_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Microsoft\MSTeams\EBWebView
Copy it promptly: normal LevelDB compaction can remove deleted historical versions.
