Hi,
I'm Mariana, founder of MELUMIYA, a paid Windows desktop app for 3D and character creation. We are based in
Portugal, and our website and app are intended for customers worldwide, including the EU.
We are reviewing Material Anything for local PBR material generation. The repository is presented under MIT, but
our licence review found code corresponding to or derived from Text2Tex, whose public repository is licensed under
CC BY-NC-SA 3.0.
Could you clarify the commercial licensing of those files for worldwide distribution, including the EU? Did the project
obtain separate commercial permission from the Text2Tex rightsholders, does Material Anything have authority to
sublicense that material commercially worldwide, and is there a clean commercially licensed version available?
Please identify the affected files and any additional licence, attribution, source-distribution, or share-alike obligations.
We are keeping this integration disabled until the provenance and permissions are documented.
Thank you,
Mariana - MELUMIYA
