OnboardIMU support? Also, REVLib?

We are working on porting our 2026 FRC robot over to SystemCore, and are unable to find how to implement the onboard IMU. Is this supported yet for Python? If not, is there an ETA?

Bonus points if there's any information that could help us get robotpy-rev running on alpha5, I'm having issues running a robotpy sync with the rev library.

I haven't seen a RevLib C++ release compatible with Alpha 5, which would be a prerequisite to robotpy wrapping it. I'm guessing Rev is a little busy at the championships right now.

After updating to RobotPy 2027.0.0a5.post1, I was able to run the gyro example in sim, although the IMU doesn't show up in sim (wpilibsuite/allwpilib#8845)

I reinstalled Windows on my laptop (for multiple reasons, not just this lol) - will reinstall everything, try it again, and report back :) Just to confirm, what version of Python is recommended? Is 3.14 supported?

Python 3.14 is supported for alpha 5. Alpha 2 only supported Python 3.13 as that was the latest version of Python at the time.

I was able to get the OnboardIMU figured out, for some reason it just didn't want to show up until a full reinstall. Now just waiting on rev to get an updated library so we can run our comp robot :)
