Building software and giving it back to the community

I'm Shubham, a product manager, tech lead, founding engineer, and open-source developer.

I've been building software since I was 11. I started with small programs, moved into contracting and freelancing, then spent the last several years building products and working with startups. I've shipped 25+ systems for clients, helped grow products from thousands to over 100,000 monthly users, and worked on platforms serving more than a million users.

Today, I work at the intersection of software engineering, product development, and applied AI. I like taking an idea, turning it into something people can actually use, and iterating from there.

Open source has always been an important part of that process.

I currently have 70+ public projects on GitHub, ranging from AI applications and developer tools to browser automation, search infrastructure, and productivity software. Some of my projects include BrandPulse, HeyDot, RecallEngine, RecordScrape, and PostPilot.

I also contribute directly to projects I depend on. When I encounter a bug, broken build, race condition, or missing feature in software I use, I try to fix it upstream rather than working around it. I've contributed to projects including Drizzle ORM, Supabase, Avo, CloakBrowser, Nasiko, and Go.

Why sponsorships matter Sponsorships would give me more financial freedom to spend time building and maintaining open-source software instead of having to optimize all of my time around paid work. My goal is to reach **$1,500/month in sponsorships**. At that level, I can dedicate significantly more focused time to open source, experiment with ambitious projects, maintain the tools I release, and contribute more consistently to projects built by other developers. I don't want open source to be something I only work on when I have spare time. I want to build useful software, release it publicly, maintain it properly, and contribute back to the ecosystem that has enabled me to build everything I've built so far.
