Highlighting is a redundant feature

I really appreciate the plugin, but highlighting is a redundant feature. The highlightgroups 'Normal' and 'NormalNC' (Normal Non-Current) already cover that purpose.

I don't see that we force you to use that feature. It is disabled by default so I don't see the problem.

I think I phrased it badly: I meant that the highlighting when turned on should respect the designated highlight groups. I totally understand if this issue gets closed as "won't fix". The reason why I stumbled on this was that the highlighting wouldn't follow my theme.
