Parsing long running code

Is there a way for a set of long running calculations to show up in the browser as they are done?
For instance if there is more than one function that prints some intermediate value, the whole page waits for "Parsing..." to finish.

It would help if you could give an example notebook that is ready to run where the problem manifests itself

This is the simplest I could come up with to show what's going on. The last long running bit hampers the display of the first function calls. I am not really a developer so just want something easy ish to show how the calculations are proceeding.
