fix: bound glob expansion outside RPC dispatch (Fixes #535)

Move expansion off RPC dispatch, bound traversal, preserve glob matching and refresh coalescing, and report failures explicitly. Add regression tests and document limits. Co-authored-by: Copilot <223556219+Copilot@users.noreply.github.com>
