Incompatible with LÖVE 12.0 beta

I was trying to port my game to consoles using lovepotion and got an error because of an unsupported command. This makes every tutorial using STI (and that's a lot of tutorials) non-applicable.

It would help to know what command is unsupported. Can you post the traceback from the crash log? Note that LOVE 12 is still in beta and any expectations of compatibility shouldn't be too high.

I tried to replace the box2d.lua file but I couldn't find anywhere and I couldn't compile it myself.

Does your project use box2d for physics? Does love 0.12.0 change the way box2d works or are you just not including it in your project or something?

Box2d is included in my project. Everything works as intended in 11.5. I guess 12.0 changes something in the newFixture functionality or it has been deprecated. All I'm sure of is that it works differently in 12.0

newFixture is actually not the only deprecated function

Those warnings do not seem to change anything when I compile the game but once I pack it with lovepotion to play on console, I get the previous errors.

Are you planning on updating sti in the future?

Yeah, I try to keep it working on each version bump of LOVE. I haven't really used LOVE in a few years myself so I haven't had a whole lot of time or motivation to dig in and tidy the library up but for most use cases, it seems to work well for people.

As for lovepotion support, I have never used lovepotion so I am unsure what the issue there may be. If it's running on a development build of LOVE 12, then that is likely the issue and I don't think breaking support for the stable version of LOVE is a good idea. when LOVE 2 is officially released, I'd be happy to fix any API issues.

First, the issue is only in the lack of support for the development version of LOVE 12.
