Hi,

In a ETP dedicated sampling it may happen that for the same trip and haul sampled, the observer reports two specimens of the same species, one alive and another dead.

However, in table SA SpecimenState is not a Unique Key variable. Is this rigth?

I understand that this solution can work as a shortcut. But for the longer term, don't you think that it makes sense to include SpecimenState as Unique Key? (probably I am missing some other implications, but just to confirm)

It is suggested to insert 'Mixed' in the SAspecimensState, and then in the BV table use 'SpecimenState' in the BVtypeMeasured and have one record with 'alive' and another record with 'dead' in the BVvalueMeasured. Would that work?
